Rust is enemy no. 1, and any closed RHS steel tube at some point in time will be subjected to corrosion from the inside. (unless the trailer owner is absolutely anal about maintenance). Most people are time poor, and proper maintenance is often neglected. Mackay produce an open tube trailer utilizing “C” Channel on its main chassis rails. The “C” Channel is open, thus no water can accumulate. The chassis beam are easily maintained and are quick to dry. If problems do arise, then these are clearly visible.

Mackay manufactures custom aluminium trailers and provides a fabrication service. Mackay’s custom aluminium trailers are lightweight, strong, and easy to maintain. Designed from the ground up, Mackay’s aluminium boat trailers comprise rigid welded Aluminium frames with low ride axles on all models. Heavy Duty models are also fitted with loadshare suspension coupled with landcruiser hubs and NSK bearings show quality all the way through. Mackay also manufactures a range of custom aluminium trailers for rowing shells, plant and machinery, and other specialised applications. Mackay also provides a specialised aluminium fabrication service.

Typical differences between the Mackay Jetski Trailer and competitors, include;
